AMY LESAGE, L.AC.
Amy LeSage is a Licensed Acupuncturist and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine specializing in pain management, fertility, women’s health, stress management, allergies and asthma, migraines, depression, digestive health and weight loss. Her natural healthcare practice, based in Long Beach, focuses on helping people create lives they love. She earned her Master of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) degree from Yo San University of TCM in Los Angeles and practices in the Long Beach area. Amy is a licensed acupuncturist by the state of California. She is also a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine as licensed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Amy is a Qi Gong instructor with more than 12 years of training and teaching experience in the Lau Kune Do style of tai chi and Qi gong. In fact, one of the most profound experiences leading Amy to TCM has been her involvement with the Lau Kune Do (LKD) Temple of Martial Arts in Long Beach and Costa Mesa. LKD kung fu, tai chi and Qi gong classes as well as classes regarding Chinese medicine philosophy helped inspire Amy to earn her Maters degree in TCM.
She believes a balance of stillness and movement, nutritional foods, and spiritual practice are cornerstones to good health and a higher quality of life. Amy borrows wisdom from her favorite modern day philosophers, like Eckhart Tolle, Pema Chodron, Mike Dooley, Jack Canfield, and Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, to instill creative ways of being and being still. One of her mantras in life that she wishes to share is: Laugh and smile … a lot!
In addition to acupuncture and laughter, Amy offers other tools to assist the patient on his or her journey to optimal health – high quality Chinese herbal medicines, cupping, gua sha, qi gong exercises, a balanced approach to nutrition, and more.
Amy’s Personal Journey With TCM
Amy’s personal experiences with TCM have confirmed her beliefs that it really works. As a child, she had chronic bronchitis, which culminated in three to four debilitating sinus infections per year as an adult. With consistent acupuncture and herbs, her sinus infections were eliminated. She continues to receive regular acupuncture treatments and use herbs to promote health, as needed.
“It’s my belief that to be most helpful to others, I first have to take care of myself. That means doing the things I love, like practicing tai chi, spending time with friends and family, hiking, meditating, enjoying my favorite music and movies, and receiving regular acupuncture treatments. It also means that I’ll continue to learn.”
Since receiving her California state acupuncture license more than 10 years ago, Amy has been serving the Long Beach community within larger practices. In 2017, she opened Enjoy Healing Center in partnership with Dr. Lisa P. Leary, D.C.
Amy’s intention with Enjoy Healing Center is to create a space of healing filled with relaxation and joy. She hopes to boost your body’s innate ability to heal by helping you smile and enjoy learning how to keep your whole Self – body, mind and spirit – healthy. She’ll use acupuncture and other tools to move Qi and create more balanced energetic function. Balanced Qi allows your body to heal … naturally.
